Helen is a pop singer-songwriter based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Known for her clever, witty, and relatable lyrics, her songwriting employs the storytelling traditions rooted in country and Americana and sets them to a modern pop production. Drawing on the universal experiences of girlhood, dating, and surviving your 20s, she connects with her audience through acknowledging the emotions, fears, and desires that many are afraid to say out loud. Zoe is a folk singer-songwriter known for her gut-wrenching lyrics and ethereal guitar playing. She combines her background in classical guitar technique, with Joni Mitchell-esque witticisms, and an insatiable desire to be honest. Zoe uses music as a way to unite people, in the true nature of folk music, singing about what it means to be alive in our world. Kaity Joan is the front-woman and songwriter for Minneapolis based indie-pop band Joan of Profile. In rare solo performances, Kaity strips the songs back to their original form: acoustic, intimate, and autobiographical while feeling universal. Lexie Modica is a nonbinary singer songwriter from the twin cities, their inspiration comes from life, relationships, and emotions taken from the queer perspective. Indie/folk music such as Joni Mitchell, Brandi Carlile, and boygenius are some of their current inspirations.

“With a blend of alt-rock and indie-pop intertwining throughout their set, the amount of energy this group gave me on Wednesday night was more of a headlining act, not an opener. I was enamored and could go on and on about Joan of Profile’s set on Wednesday night, but if you weren’t there, you didn’t feel those words sink into your soul or feel their performance move you to the point of feeling things you didn’t think you would feel on a Wednesday night. Although the band said it was a joke, “JOP ’til you drop” is a thing and it’s a phrase to live by.” - The Girl at the Rock Shows
